My Personal Guide to Spring Hosting
For me, spring isn’t just a change in weather; it’s an invitation to open the doors, pull out the linens, and gather. It’s the season where the table moves from being just a piece of furniture to a place of celebration, and I find myself reaching for colors that mirror the new life blooming just outside my window.
When I founded Willamere, it was born out of a desire to slow down and to move away from the "fast" and back toward the "heirloom." I wanted to create pieces that didn't just sit on a table, but held space for the memories made around it. Every print you see in our collection started as a hand-drawn sketch in my notebook, inspired by the tangled vines and vibrant petals of Charleston.
The "Something Blue" Tradition
My Hyacinth Blue is a chinoiserie-inspired print that is a nod to the classic Southern palette. There is something so calming about blue and green, inspired by the coastal grand millennial aesthetic.
I love layering our blue runners over a bare wooden table. It feels grounded but elegant. Add a few sprigs of fresh greenery in a ceramic pitcher, and you have a table that feels thoughtfully put together without trying too hard.
Timeless Heritage Decor
The Florence and Hyacinth Marigold collections in yellows and green are my ode to traditional botanical art. These are the pieces I reach for when I want the table to feel storied and vintage.
I love pairing these floral pieces with our embroidered linen napkins. It’s a texture-on-texture approach that feels like a vintage English garden. It’s perfect for a Mother’s Day celebration or Easter gathering where you want Mom to feel truly celebrated.
A Charleston Garden in Bloom
Inspired by the hidden gardens of downtown Charleston, this print is inspired by Southern hospitality. I wanted the vibrant red blossoms and lush greenery to create an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and inviting for your guests.
This is my favorite for a traditional Mother’s Day brunch or a romantic spring wedding. I designed it with a premium cotton fabric in our 104" and 120" sizes to ensure it feels like a true heirloom on any table.
As you begin planning your spring gatherings, I hope these pieces bring as much joy to your home as they do to mine. After all, the best part of a Willamere piece isn’t the design itself, but the laughter and the gatherings shared with it.
With love,
